May 12, 2020 UPDATE 2020 Spring SeasonUpdatedWednesday May 13, 2020 byAngela Benkowski.
Hello FNYB Families,I hope everyone is healthy and well, I want to apologize for the lack of communication throughout this whole epidemic I am sure it has been tough road adjusting to the new norm. As most of you know the CDC is still not allowing us to have any big social gatherings or sports events yet, from what I've heard we could possibly be able to start playing in June if the shelter in place is lifted. I understand some of your children may play other sports during the summer and may not be able to play baseball during this time but I would like have a head count on how many families would be interested in playing in the summer. If we indeed have enough players on each team for each division to play I will continue to work with the leagues we were scheduling to interleague with this season. If we do not have enough players to play out the season in the summer I would like to offer players to return next season free of charge. For players who are to old to play or will not be returning next season please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to further discuss reimbursement. I can say this epidemic has impacted all of us in different ways, but has sadly also impacted our children to learn and play any sport that sparks their interest, I wish to get back to the smiles on the field and families cheering, I hope to hear from everyone soon. Thank you and please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.Rudy VenegasPresidentFNYB a Division of Babe Ruth
